One of the proudest basketball traditions in the country is at the University of North Carolina. One of the builders of that tradition is former Tar Heel great, Bobby Jones. Bobby played in the early 1970's for the legendary Dean Smith.
Following college, he played on the 1972 Olympic team and also played in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets and the Philadelphia 76'ers. With those teams, he played with two of the best scoring forwards in basketball history: David Thompson in Denver and Julius Erving in Philadelphia.
In 1983, he helped lead the 76'ers to the NBA championship with a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers.
On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk college and NBA basketball with Bobby Jones. Bobby shares his thoughts on many subjects, including the NBA potential of current North Carolina star, Tyler Hansbrough. Bobby also talks about the importance of controlling anger and having a Godly mindset when competing on the floor.
