Barb Follis

Barbara received a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater education from Western Michigan University and pursued a master's degree from Michigan State University. But no amount of education or investment in the arts filled the void in her life. Even though she was raised attending church, she didn't know what it meant to have a real, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ until she was in her mid-twenties. It was then she finally experienced the wholeness and peace she'd been searching for.

In September 1996, Barbara joined RBC Ministries as a radio administrative and production assistant, and immediately fell in love with broadcasting. She later became the associate producer and co-host of Words To Live By. She recognizes the enormous privilege her job provides in broadcasting guests' testimonies of how God has worked in their lives and how the Bible has provided them with words to live by.

Barbara and her husband Jay have a music ministry that allows them to travel throughout the Midwest on weekends, sharing their faith in Christ.

Some of Barbara's favorite words to live by from the pages of God's Word:

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. Sing praises to the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what He has done" (Psalm 9:9-11).
