You can tell the college football season will begin soon. This past weekend, the Big Ten, Big Twelve, and ACC had pre-season football media events.

Last week, the SEC held their media event in Birmingham, Alabama. Even though the economy is tough there were over 1,000 media credentials issued.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk about SEC football with sportswriter and columnist, Ray Melick.

It is difficult to talk SEC football without talking about Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. He has won a Heisman Trophy and three national championships in three seasons.

Ray shares his perspective on Tebow and talks about some of the other programs in the league that could contend for a national title.
