This weekend, we talk about Major League Baseball on Sports Spectrum Saturday.
Among our guests will be one of the most surprising players in the American League this season, Adam Everett of the Detroit Tigers. Adam has been a nice addition for the Tigers defensively at shortstop.
Sports Spectrum Chaplain Bill Crowder also joins us to add a biblical perspective to our enjoyment of the activities associated with the All Star game.
We also re-cap the first half of the major league season with former baseball General Manager, Kevin Malone. Kevin previews the baseball All Star game and gives us the latest on Manny Ramirez and his return to the Dodgers.
Later we visit with a back-up catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks Luke Carlin. Luke has an unusual baseball background having grown up in Canada. He was recently called up to the major leagues and his faith in Christ has given him a new excitement about his baseball career.
And, sports psychologist Dr. Paul Baard from Fordham University offers his thoughts on the bizarre and tragic murder of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair. This is an important discussion you will not want to miss.
Join us on the next Sports Spectrum Saturday.
