On the Saturday edition of Sports Spectrum we visit with pitcher Matt Herges of the Cleveland Indians. Matt has been with nine teams in the last 10 years. He tells us about the life of a "journeyman" pitcher and how it’s been a blessing for him and his family.

It is Father's Day weekend. And, on Saturday’s Sports Spectrum we talk with the former head football coach at Clemson and Tulane, Tommy Bowden. 

Tommy is part of a famous football coaching family. His father, Bobby, is the long time head coach at Florida State and is one of the winningest coaches in college football history. His brother, Terry, is the head coach at North Alabama and a former head coach at Auburn.

This is the first summer that Tommy has not been involved in coaching for over 30 years. He shares his thoughts on how he trusts the Lord for what is next in his life.  

We also hear from Sports Spectrum chaplain Bill Crowder. Bill shares his thoughts on the top sports story of the weekend, the U. S. Open golf tournament in New York.
