Gabe Giardina – College Football – Charleston Southern University

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

Gabe Giardina
Assistant Football Coach
Charleston Southern University

Interviewed By: Frank Giardina

Football is becoming more and more of a violent sport. As a result, when players are hurt, they tend to get angry, frustrated, and look for opportunities to retaliate.

Coaches at the high school, college, and NFL levels are dealing with this and trying to help players manage their anger.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with Gabe Giardina, a young college football coach at Charleston Southern University. Gabe is the running backs coach and special-teams coordinator for Buccaneers.

He shares his thoughts on some of the issues that coaches face today in dealing with young players. He also talks about the problems players can generate for their own team when they lose their poise and composure.

As football and society both become more aggressive, anger is an issue that has become a concern. Don’t miss our discussion on Sports Spectrum Today.
