The sport of college basketball lost a Hall of Famer on Saturday. Early Saturday morning, longtime North Carolina State women's basketball coach Kay Yow died of breast cancer at the age of 66. She had been battling the disease since 1987.
On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with one of Yow's former assistant coaches, Jen Price. Jen is also a former Fellowship of Christian Athletes staff member and was involved in many ministry initiatives with Yow.
Yow has a remarkable on the court legacy. She won over 700 games. She coached Team USA to a Gold Medal in the 1988 Olympic Games. And she is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. But, she also left a spiritual legacy as she shared her Christian faith whenever and wherever she could.
The sport of basketball will miss Kay Yow.
