The college basketball season is in full swing and conference play is underway across the country. In the Southeastern Conference it appears to be a down season for men’s hoops. But longtime league power, Kentucky is starting to play well.

So how good are the Kentucky Wildcats? To find out we visit with college basketball writer, Jerry Tipton from the Lexington Herald-Leader on this edition of Sports Spectrum Today.

Kentucky shooting star Jodie Meeks scored 54 points in a game last week at Tennessee. Meeks had a better scoring night than Kentucky legends Kyle Macy, Dan Issel, and Louie Dampier. Jerry shares where his performance ranks in the glorious history of Kentucky basketball.
