On paper, the Super Bowl appears to be a bit of a mismatch. The surprising Arizona Cardinals are in the Super Bowl for the first time in their history. They’ll be playing against the powerful Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s the second Super Bowl appearance for the Steelers in the last four years.
But the Cardinals are an amazing story. One reason is the incredible career of veteran quarterback Kurt Warner. You may know the story of the former grocery store bagger who became a Super Bowl MVP with the St. Louis Rams.
We visit with columnist Victor Lee and hear the updated version of Kurt Warner’s story on this edition of Sports Spectrum Today. Victor has worked with Kurt's foundation over the years in several ministry initiatives. In addition to some history, Victor shares his thoughts on the lives of Kurt and Brenda Warner.
He also talks about how the media struggles to tell the stories of Christian athletes today. Don't miss an interesting conversation on one of football's extraordinary stories. It’s a visit with Sports Spectrum magazine columnist Victor Lee, on Sports Spectrum Today.
