Ed Schilling - College Basketball

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

College Basketball

Ed Schilling
Independent Coach
Sports Spectrum Basketball Analyst

Interviewed By: Frank Giardina

Now that the college football season is over, the focus of the college sports world turns to basketball. On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk about real-life issues in college basketball with Ed Schilling.

Ed is a former player at Miami of Ohio and coached as an assistant at U Mass and Memphis. He was the head coach at Wright State in Dayton, Ohio. He was also an assistant under John Calipari in the NBA for the New Jersey Nets.

Ed talks about some of the challenges that coaches face in college basketball. He also suggests some biblical principles for college basketball recruiting. He also talks about how easy it is to rationalize bending a rule, "when everyone else is doing it."  It’s a trap that many coaches fall into. Ed shares what the Bible says about bending the rules.

It’s an encouraging visit with former college basketball coach, Ed Schilling on Sports Spectrum Today.
