The newness of the NBA season is over and the playoffs are still too far away to generate excitement. This time of the year can be a grind for the players and coaches.

But he league often starts to separate the pretenders from the contenders at this point in the season. One of the surprise stories in the NBA this year is a definite contender, the Orlando Magic.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we will talk with the television voice of the Magic, David Steele. David shares his observations on the improved Magic this season. He also talks about some of the other teams in the east that are playing well such as the Celtics and the Cavaliers.

David is also an NBA dad. His son Luke is the Senior Video Coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks.  David shares what it’s like to share the NBA with his son.
