It’s January and NBA teams are settling into the New Year schedule. We talk about the latest news in the NBA with the television voice of the Orlando Magic, David Steele. David shares his insight on the top stories in the league and also talks about how his faith in Christ has helped him deal with life in the NBA.

We also introduce you to Sports Spectrum’s new chaplain, Bill Crowder of RBC Ministries. In today’s broadcast he highlights the biblical principle of encouragement. Did you know that one of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks makes it a point to offer encouragement to players from around the league? Bill tells us the story and also shares how we can apply the principle of encouragement to our own lives.

For many of us, early January is a time for New Year's Resolutions. It’s a time to lose those unwanted pounds and begin a journey toward a healthier lifestyle. It may also be a time of preparation for the spring and summer sports ahead. Or maybe you have a question about an ailing sports injury. On Sports Spectrum Saturday we have two experts: Dr. Bill Schwab a sports physician in West Michigan, and sports trainer Alan Tyson from Charlotte, North Carolina ready to take your phone call.

Join us for sports, a healthier lifestyle, real-life issues and faith on Sports Spectrum.
