Tell us the NFL or college football story that
has your interest this weekend and why!

Anchor: Frank Giardina

For many sports fans in America it’s almost become a national holiday. It’s the start of the NFL season, and it gets underway this weekend. On Sports Spectrum – Saturday we add plenty of NFL and college football talk to the holiday atmosphere.

We  talk with one of the top football broadcasters in the country in Dave Pasch. Dave is the radio voice of the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL. Will the Cardinals win the NFC West? Many people think so. We get Dave's thoughts. We also talk with Dave about the impact that Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner has had on the community in Phoenix.

It’s a new era in New York for the Jets with the addition of Brett Favre to the team. We talk with Jets tight end and long snapper James Dearth. James tells us about the excitement of landing Favre and the sadness of losing quarterback Chad Pennington, who was the leader and host of the team bible studies.

And, we talk about Big Ten football with the radio voice of the University of Illinois, Brian Barnhart. Brian shares his thoughts on the Big Ten race this fall and comments on his Fighting Illini team as well.

Don’t miss three great guests talking about sports, real-life issues and faith and the opportunity to join us to talk football with your phone call on the next Sports Spectrum.
