Randy Jepson – Olympic Gymnastics

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

Men’s Olympic Gymnastics

Guest: Randy Jepson
Assistant Coach
U. S. Men’s Olympic Gymnastics Team

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

The Olympic Games were quite profitable for the United States men's and women's gymnastics team. The women won silver and the men won bronze. There was an all around Gold Medal for Nastia Liukin on the women's side, and individual apparatus gold medals for both the men and the women. All in all Team USA was very proud of their accomplishments in Beijing.

We take a look back at the efforts of the United States gymnastics team and we visit with assistant coach Randy Jepson on Sports Spectrum Today. Randy is also the veteran head coach at Penn State University and has led his team to three national championships.

Randy talks about the pressure of competing and coaching in the Olympic Games. He also shares about the spiritual loneliness he experienced as a follower of Jesus Christ visiting in China.

It’s a conversation on some real-life issues in sports with gymnastics coach, Randy Jepson on Sports Spectrum Today.
