The month of August is a pivotal time for Major League baseball teams. If a team is in the pennant race, it’s an exciting, enjoyable time. A pennant race can electrify the cities of teams in contention.

But for the teams having a bad season the last two months are the "dog days" of the baseball.  This is the case for the Cleveland Indians.

Last year the Indians were one win away from the World Series. This year they’re battling to stay out of the cellar. It’s also been a tough year individually for veteran pitcher, Paul Byrd. He’s won his last two starts, but most of the season has been frustrating for him on the mound.
