On the next Sports Spectrum Saturday, we talk about a variety of real life issues in sports. First we talk college basketball with the second year men's basketball coach at Missouri-Kansas City, Matt Brown. Matt is trying to build a program at a mid-major school that does not have a history of tradition or success. There’s not a lot of funding or fan support either. Matt talks about the challenges he faces.

We also visit with one of the unique men in Indy Car Racing, Sam Schmidt. Sam is a former Indy driver whose career was cut short when he was badly injured in a test track accident. He’s now a quadriplegic. He is now an owner in the Indy Light series. You may be encouraged to hear his honest conversation about his life in racing today.

It’s been a summer of amazing tennis stories. The men’s circuit is enjoying a full blown rivalry—Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal. The two men recently played one of the greatest matches in tennis history during the men's final at Wimbledon. We talk about the match and the state of men's and women's tennis with tennis pro David Wheaton

Later, we talk about the second half of the Major League Baseball season with former infielder and scout, Jerry Terrell

Sports, real-life issues and faith, listen for Sports Spectrum – Saturday!
