It’s a difficult time of the year for Major League Baseball teams that have had a disappointing start. It’s a time when the management of many teams make decision to try to improve their team and get back into the division playoff race or basically write off the season and start to build for next year. Unfortunately for many fans, rebuilding is not the direction they’d like their team to take.
That’s the decision facing one of baseball's proudest franchises, the Cincinnati Reds. On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with a former Reds front office executive, Darrell "Doc" Rogers. Doc is now a baseball analyst for WLW Radio in Cincinnati.
He shares his thoughts on how the Reds might approach the future. He also suggests what the Reds might try to do with future Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr. Is Junior's situation comparable to Barry Bonds in San Francisco last season?
It’s and interesting baseball conversation with Doc Rogers on Sports Spectrum Today.
