Father of NBA Draft Hopeful
Drew Neitzel

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

The NBA draft will take place this Thursday, June 26th in New York City. There are only two rounds. One player that’s hopeful of hearing his name called is former Michigan State point guard, Drew Neitzel. He could be a late second round pick.

In the spirit of last weekend's Father's Day celebration, we hear some thoughts from the father of Drew Neitzel, Craig Neitzel a high school basketball coach in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He shares his thoughts on what it’s like to be the dad of an NBA draft hopeful.

He also comments on raising a high level college athlete. It’s not all fun and games, there’s a lot of work involved and a great deal of sacrifice. Craig talks about the importance of priority through all of the distractions of athletics.

It’s good insight for fathers and sons everywhere. Don’t miss our visit with Craig Neitzel, the father of an NBA draft hopeful, on this edition of Sports Spectrum Today.
