Last week the nation's top athletic administrators gathered in Dallas, Texas for the national convention of National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. These can be trying times in athletics. 

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with the Director of Athletics at Southern Mississippi University, Richard Giannini. Richard shares his thoughts on issues that concern Athletics directors around the country.

He talks about how he’s seen college athletics change in his 40 year career. Richard recently hired a new head football coach in Larry Fedora. Southern Miss has a proud football tradition and he talks about maintaining that tradition in Hattiesburg.
