It’s a Father's Day special on Sports Spectrum and we’ll salute dads everywhere.
We’ll talk with Cleveland Browns General Manager, Phil Savage, the head football coach at The Citadel Kevin Higgins, an NFL assistant coach with the Indianapolis Colts Clyde Christensen, long time college basketball coach Bob Huggins, former USA soccer star Kyle Rote Jr. and former Michigan State point guard Drew Neitzel. These sports sons will share memories of their dads.
We’ll also hear from a sports dad, Craig Neitzel. Craig is a high school basketball coach in west Michigan and is the father of college player, Drew. He talks about balancing the demanding schedule of a competitive athlete with work, family and faith.
We won’t forget to talk Major League Baseball. We visit with one of the most underrated relief pitchers in all of baseball, Matt Capps of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Capps has been the most successful reliever in the National League for the last year.
Its sports, real-life issues and faith—don't miss this Sports Spectrum salute to dear old Dad.
