SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

Football

Guest: Ron Brown
Assistant Football Coach
University of Nebraska

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

So what does an athlete do when the sport they love is taken away from them? Over the last few weeks, many football players have seen their NFL dreams shattered. What does an athlete go through when told that he or she no longer needed?

This is the second of a two part series, on Sports Spectrum Today. Our guest is Ron Brown an assistant football coach at the University of Nebraska. After college Ron tried out for several NFL teams and made it to the final cut on a couple of occasions. But each time he lost out and was denied a spot on the team's roster.

Ron gives us some insight into how athletes can deal with such disappointment. It’s not easy, but it can be fulfilling. We hope you’ll be encouraged by what he has to say.

It’s a visit with Nebraska assistant football coach, Ron Brown, on Sports Spectrum Today.
