Sports Spectrum Saturday brings you the real-issues in sports and life. We talk first about the National Hockey League and the NHL playoffs in visit with a former player for the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadians, Ryan Walter. Ryan shares his thoughts on some of the top stories in the NHL during the regular and post-season.

We also hear from one of Major League Baseball's most interesting characters: former New York Giants infielder Alvin Dark. Alvin was one of the games more colorful players in the 1950's, but he made even a bigger mark as a manager. He managed the 1962 San Francisco Giants to the World Series where they lost in seven games to the Yankees. He also managed the 1974 Oakland A's to a world championship beating the Dodgers in five games.

We talk basketball later with a two time All-American at Kansas, Wayne Simien. Wayne was also a member of the 2006 Miami Heat team that won the NBA title. But his NBA career has been filled with injuries. Wayne continues to battle back and will try and resume his NBA career after the playoffs.

Later Frank Giardina talks about basketball and the NBA in an interview with Bruce Bowen of the San Antonio Spurs. And also from San Antonio, we will talk with a former NBA play by play announcer for Turner Sports, Ron Thulin. Ron shares his thoughts on the upcoming rounds of the playoffs.

It’s Sports Spectrum, sports, real-life issues and faith, Saturday.
