SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

National Football League

Guest: Mark McHale
Former Assistant Football Coach
Southern Mississippi, Florida State, and
Appalachian State

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

Several weeks ago, the NFL lost one of its most popular players to retirement. Veteran Green Bay Packers quarterback, Bret Favre decided to call it a career in an emotional retirement media conference at Lambeau Field.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with Mark McHale, a former assistant football coach at Southern Mississippi. Mark is the only college football coach that offered Bret a college scholarship after he had finished his high school career in rural Kiln, Mississippi. Mark has also authored a book on Bret titled 10 to 4.

In his own homespun humor Mark shares how Bret was recruited. And hear Mark's observations of Bret’s growth and maturity as a man and a football player.

It’s a good off season football conversation about one of the most popular players in recent NFL history. Don't miss this visit with former coach, Mark McHale on Sports Spectrum Today.
