Associate Commissioner
Southeastern Conference

Interviewed by: Frank Giardina

It’s college basketball’s championship week. All across the nation, the mid-major and major conferences are staging their conference championship tournaments.

Later this week, the SEC tournament will begin in Atlanta. Two of the top teams in the nation are in the SEC and both hail from the state of Tennessee: the University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we preview the SEC tournament with Associate Commissioner, Mark Whitworth. He also talks about Florida, the two time defending champ may not make the NCAA field this spring.

It’s also the 75th anniversary of SEC athletics and there are some interesting stories being told about former SEC student athletes. Mark will share some a story with us.

Start off championship week listening to a conversation with Mark Whitworth, associate commissioner of the SEC on Sports Spectrum Today.
