One of the biggest college basketball stories this season has taken place in Knoxville, Tennessee. Both the Tennessee men's and women's teams are contenders for a national title. On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we visit with the sports director of the NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Steve Phillips. 

Steve tells us how the men's program has grown in Knoxville. And we’ll hear his thoughts on whether or not this team is good enough to win the school's first national title. 

There are other good teams in Tennessee as well. Memphis and Vanderbilt are both ranked in the top 20.  And several mid major programs that are enjoying success also. Steve talks about the basketball success of a football state.
