Spring training is a time of excitement for baseball fans. Many fans in northern parts of the nation consider spring training a sign that warm, summer weather is not far away. For players it’s the symbol of a fresh start and a new beginning for their team. In spring training hope springs eternal.

But for many players who are on the fringe of the Major League roster, spring training can be a very nervous and pressure-packed time. That’s the way it was for utility infielder, Jerry Terrell a former player for the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals.

Going into spring training it was never a given that he had a spot on the team. How did he produce and deal with the pressure? On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, Jerry shares memories of spring training and how he battled to make a Major League roster each season.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear some of the life lessons Jerry Terrell learned from baseball on Sports Spectrum Today.
