This past weekend history was made in Daytona. Indiana native Ryan Newman won the 50th running of the Daytona 500. Newman is one of the more understated drivers in NASCAR. On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, we talk with our racing analyst, Brad Winters who tells us more about Newman.

Newman is from South Bend, a town normally thought of more for football than for NASCAR. He is also a Purdue graduate with a degree in engineering. 

We also talk with Brad about other stories from this past weekend. And we will look ahead to this weekend's race in California.
