WAYS TO CULTIVATE AN INTIMATE, MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR SPOUSE

Listen Now | Download | Podcast

OUTLINE

Wednesday, July 25, 2007

"You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14).

IDEA: Intimacy is far more a matter of relationship than an act.

PURPOSE: To help listeners sense what intimacy involves.

When you think of the word intimacy in a marriage, what comes to your mind?

I. How important is intimacy between a couple in marriage?

Do you think that intimacy is the reason that many Christian couples get married?

Do you think intimacy grows in importance after a couple is married?

It is often in a search for intimacy that one or both commit adultery.

It’s often in an adulterous relationship that a couple discovers that they have not achieved intimacy.

II. What suggestions do you have for a man or woman that would help them achieve intimacy in a Christian marriage?

What could you say to a man?

What could you say to a woman?

What would you say to a couple together?
