If an approach like Uganda’s is so successful, why doesn’t the world health community do more to promote similar programs in other countries?

Ideology is a major factor. Those dedicated to perpetuating a “sexual revolution” that rejects the biblical ideal of chastity and monogamy have a great deal of influence. Many AIDS activists are opposed to any emphasis on chastity. For people who no longer identify sexual fulfillment with fidelity, commitment, and reproduction, a “cure” based on chastity and monogamy is unthinkable. Ironically, at the same time as many of the Western secular elite are aggressively exporting the ideology of a “sexual revolution” that disassociates sex from commitment and family, they label any call for monogamy and chastity a form of “cultural imperialism.”
