Jesus doesn’t settle for spiritual shortcuts—He has a total solution in mind for your problems. Yet when you come up with your own plans for “helping” Jesus, you’re guaranteed to find yourself at a dead end. Teacher Joe Stowell leads you through the story in Matthew 16 by taking a closer look at Peter’s great statement of faith, as he declares to Jesus: “You are the Messiah.” You’ll see it doesn’t take long before Peter detours from that declaration and finds himself at a dead end, as Jesus warns him: “You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Be encouraged knowing that, as your Champion, Jesus has a far greater plan in mind for you than you could ever imagine. This is part of the Cracking the Jesus Code[http://www.rbc.org/bible-study/strength-for-the-journey/products.aspx] sermon series. Strength for the Journey is a series of practical and thought-provoking weekly messages featuring the Bible teaching of Joe Stowell. Approx. Length: 20 minutes.
