Tired Of Manna?
There is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes. --Numbers 11:6

A young couple moved to Banff. This vacation paradise located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies is surrounded by majestic mountain peaks. The awesome beauty of the slopes changes with the seasons: glistening snow, bright wildflowers, golden autumn leaves.

For the first year or so, every time the couple walked outside they stopped to admire the beauty of their mountain setting. They were sure they would never tire of the glorious sights that surrounded them. But they did. It wasn't long until all that beauty had become so familiar that it didn't excite them anymore.

Shortly after the Israelites escaped from Egypt into the wilderness, they ran out of food. But God heard their cry and fed them supernaturally with a daily supply of manna. At first they must have been awed by God's incredible provision. But after a while they grew tired of the same food day in and day out. The familiar had lost its appeal.

Do you ever find yourself becoming apathetic with all the blessings God showers upon you each day? Don't take them for granted. Remember to thank God for His daily provision of life and strength, and for the countless good things He gives you each day.  — David C. Egner

What once filled me with wonder
Lies cold upon my heart;
Return, O Lord, that wonder,
And may it not depart. --Sper
