Worthy Of Praise!
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. --Psalm 150:2

A well-known theologian was asked to explain the gospel. In response, he simply quoted from a children's hymn, "Jesus loves me! This I know, for the Bible tells me so."

The great truths of our faith can be expressed in very simple terms, such as "God is love" or "Christ died for our sins and rose again." They can also be expressed in profound doctrines and propositions.

In the end, however, the truth about our infinite God is beyond human understanding and expression. As Paul exclaimed, "How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" (Rom. 11:33). Sometimes all we can do is praise our Lord for His greatness with our words and with our songs (Ps. 150:2).

The psalmist talked about using all kinds of instruments in praise and worship of the Lord (vv.3-5). We too use hymns, choruses, cantatas, organs, pianos, orchestras, and every available form of music to convey our adoration of the God "who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light" (1 Tim. 6:16).

God has revealed Himself so that we can know Him and the salvation He provides. But we will never understand the depth of His being. He is worthy of all praise!  — Vernon C. Grounds

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious--Thy great name we praise! --Smith
We can never praise God too much.
