Waterworld
The city of Venice, Italy, is actually 117 islands in a lagoon, connected by bridges. The Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore (center, background) hosts the church built by Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio that includes a bell tower—with a spectacular view of Venice—and a dramatic painting of The Last Supper by the famous artist Tintoretto.
