Stop Talking, Start Listening Part 1

When was the last time you heard the voice of God? Most of us spend so much time talking to God, we don’t take the time to listen! This week Joe Stowell begins a new series titled Hearing God’s Voice by taking a look at the first of five habits of effective listeners. Joe points out that as followers of Christ we’ve been given the equipment we need to hear God speak. But the equipment can’t work properly if we allow Satan’s noise to silence the voice of God. This is illustrated in Jesus’ story of the shepherd and his flock in John 10. As you strive to develop these essential listening skills, you’ll find yourself more in tune with God’s leading in your life. Strength for the Journey is a series of practical and thought-provoking weekly messages featuring the Bible teaching of Joe Stowell. Approx. Length: 20 minutes.
